All due respect to Walsh ;but a captain has to show, in addition to leadership skills ,dedication and commitment , before accepting the job . Mr Gayle ,BY NOT SIGNING a central contract in order to leave himself open for the Ipl duties says as much ,so why should the board pusue him with the captaincy ? What's wrong with Sammy's aptaincy ? Does he have to come from some place of our choosing to lead the team ? As far as I am cocerned ,he meets all critetrion for captaincy ,just give him some productive players and some cooperation and he will get the job done . Gayle can't have things his way all the time it's either the IPL or West Indies captaincy . The way it's looking now ,he has to gain selection like any other player who performs consistantly and that could be a problem for him shortly as he continues with his feast or famine batting .

This is a good site but what good is serves by just posting news that is already out there? Try forming a group to put more pressure on WICB. Maybe you can start with google groups or some other social network (they are tons out there that are free) When you have numbers (members) you have power then WICB will listen.

Hypocritical at best. the patterson reprt did not suggest an increase in teh size of the Board. It proposeda commitee to which te board is responsible since currently WICB is accountable to no one.
